Supply Chain Manager

Job Summary

Planning, managing, and developing operations related to procurement, warehouses, supply chains, and logistics to ensure the availability of required materials and services on time, with the highest quality and at the lowest possible cost; improving operational efficiency, enhancing relationships with suppliers, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory laws, in addition to preparing strategic reports and submitting them to senior management to support decision-making.

Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Develop a comprehensive supply chain strategy in line with the company's operational and financial objectives. 2. Manage and develop local and international procurement processes according to best practices. 3. Select and evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure compliance with contract terms. 4. Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock maintenance. 5. Oversee warehouse operations, organize them, and enhance operational efficiency. 6. Follow up on transportation, shipping, and distribution processes, ensuring they are completed efficiently and on time. 7. Develop proactive plans to address any potential disruption or delay in the supply chain. 8. Improve operational costs by rationalizing expenditure, analyzing cost data, and optimizing processes. 9. Implement internal systems and procedures and standard policies for all supply chain activities. 10. Prepare and submit periodic reports to senior management on supply chain performance (KPIs). 11. Utilize technical systems in procurement and warehouses such as Odoo or its equivalents. 12. Review contracts and agreements to ensure the company's interests are protected. 13. Supervise annual and surprise inventories of warehouses and ensure the accuracy of data. 14. Developing risk management plans related to supply chains and establishing appropriate contingency plans. 15. Leading the team and developing their skills through training and awareness programs. 16. Ensuring compliance with relevant government regulations such as trade, customs, zakat, and tax regulations. 17. Building strong relationships with suppliers and improving contractual performance. 18. Collaborating with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of operations that serves the company's objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management, or a related field, preferably a master's degree, with professional certifications in the same field and at least 5 years of practical experience in a related area.
